Electronic Minnie Bow With A Bead Roller
The Minnie Mouse jumper comes with an electronic Minnie Mouse shaped bow with a barrel shaped bead roller embedded in the base of the bow. It is the only electronic toy out of the toys attached and it needs 2 x AA size batteries to get it to work ( Batteries not included)
The barrel shaped roller ball is full of small coloured beads that rattle when rolled by the baby.
The electronic shaped bow is motion activated and as such, lights up, flashes and plays different tunes as your baby moves about in the jumper or when the bead roller is touched and spun around by by the baby.
The motion activated lights and sound serve to teach your baby “cause and effect”, as your baby soon learns that by touching the roller ball or jumping in the jumper the lights and sound unit is activated.
The electronic toy added does however appear pretty basic especially when compared to that of competing jumpers like that of the Bright Start Finding Nemo Jumper. It would have been good for the jumper to have one or two more interactive electronic toys that light up and sound to add variety to the toys included.
Teether & Soft Toy
Attached to the end of 2 of the 4 pole arms that support the activity jumper are 2 x leaf stalks from which a liquid filled teether and a soft toy dangles.
The teether and the soft toy are within easy reach of your baby. They are held in place with Velcro strips that can be easily removed to be used elsewhere or when there is a need to clean it.
The teether and soft toy are well received by parents as they are both detachable and the design of the activity jumper encourages the baby to stretch to reach up to grab the attached toys.
Heart Shaped Mirror With Ring Beads
A very welcome toy by a lot of parents is the pink coloured heart shaped Minnie Mouse mirror that comes with the jumper.
The mirror can be pushed to swing up and down and it does has a ring bead on each side of the mirror that the baby can also learn to move up and down the mirror arms.
Mirrors are reported to inspire babies to reach, pat, and point. When your baby is able to grasp objects, playing with a hand-held mirror supports hand and finger fine-motor skills as they hold and move the mirror to capture different views of their surroundings.
A number of reported that there is a danger that the baby can sometimes get his/her hand stuck under the mirror as the gap between the mirror and the base table is too high.
Minnie Mouse Bead Chaser Toy
Attached to the jumper table is a Minnie Mouse bead chaser toy together with a rotating Minnie Mouse head.
The rotating head can be batted away by your baby to spin around and the ring beads moved up or down.
Grabbing the ring bead and moving it along the sides of the bead chaser toy encourages your baby to use their pincer grasp, thus strengthening the small muscles of their hands and also helps build hand-eye coordination.

The Minnie Mouse jumper comes with 3 x coloured link loops. The link loops allow you to add more toys to keep play time fresh and ever-changing.
Most parents use the space to hang their baby’s own favourite toys.
The number of link loops on the jumper seems excessive and it seems Bright Starts dropped the ball here. It is felt by a lot of parents that more toys could have been added here rather than the link loops.
All in all, the Minnie Mouse activity jumper remains a good first interactive toy for babies because of the activities that encourage hand-eye coordination, sensory development, both fine and gross motor skills and teaches cause and effect.
The toys are good but we feel could have been much better if Bright Sparks would have included more activity toys, light and sound than currently fitted on the activity jumper at the moment. It seems a bit cheeky including the 3 x loop rings and counting them as part of the list of toys included.
Another issue is that of light and sound; Only the “electronic Minnie Mouse shaped bow” have any sort of sound or light attached to them. The manufacturer we feel should have made one or two more toys active with additional sound and lighting.

Jumper & Seat
The Minnie Mouse jumper is compact in size, and a little bit smaller than other floor standing baby jumpers on the market such as the Bright Starts Finding Nemo Jumper.
The jumper has 4 springy arms that are supported from 4 metal post which is good as it also allows the jumper to be bouncy. There are rubber stoppers on the bottom of the jumper to make sure the jumper doesn’t slip and slide around on the floor when in use.
The Seat
The jumper seat is built to rotate through a full 360 degrees, enabling your baby to easily access all the toys and activities on the activity table surrounding the seat.
Although the seat itself gives an extra support to the neck of the baby, it would not be advisable to leave your baby unattended in the seat till your baby can hold their head up on their own for a good 10 minutes.
The seat cover of the Minnie Mouse jumper is notably pink and covered in flowery print and images of Minnie mouse. It is padded slightly to enable your baby nestle in safely.
The only criticism of the Minnie Mouse jumper seat, is that, it could do with a little more padding considering the amount paid for the jumper.
Adjustable Comfort
The Disney Minnie Mouse Jumper seat can be adjusted to suit the height of the baby. The height adjusters are located on the top of the jumper pole arms in plain view and can easily be adjusted when the baby is seated in the jumper.
The Disney Minnie Mouse Jumper seat has 4 different height adjustments that the baby can grow into. You simply pick the setting according to where your baby’s feet are.
Whilst the height adjuster is easy to adjust the height of the seat, it does seem a little too accessible to other children (compared to that of the FisherPrice Roaring Rainforest Jumperoo), which, can only be adjusted after the baby is removed from the jumper, as the height adjuster is located under the seat unit and has a bar lock.
Build Quality
The manufacturers claim the plastic used for the toys meet global phthalate, lead and BPA requirements that is not harmful to the baby.
The seat has some padding, which allows the child to nestle in safely and comfortably. it would have been good to have more padding on the seat to further protect the baby.
The poles holding the suspended jumper seat and the circular base of the jumper are made from metal and well secured, ensuring that it can support the weight of the baby.
It however does not appear to be as sturdy as that of the Fisher Price Roaring Rainforest Jumperoo as the circular base of the jumper and the metal poles holding the jumper springs appear slightly smaller than that of the Roaring Rainforest Jumperoo and does rattle at times at the connection points when the baby jumps.

The Bright Starts Disney Minnie Mouse jumper is compact but is still a big piece of equipment and would therefore suit best those with a large living room space or apartment. It measures 78.74 x 68.58 x 86.36 cm when it is set up which does take up a substantial area of the floor space in whatever room you set it up in.
Whilst the Disney Minnie Mouse jumper is a big toy, it is much easier to dismantle it to take away on a visit or holiday, than some competing Jumpers like the FisherPrice Roaring Rainforest Jumperoo. The jumper arms are simply unclipped and removed from the base without a need for a screwdriver.
It is not quite practicable to have to dismantle and rebuild The Minnie Mouse Jumper for everyday use at home, so If you are quite interested in this particular jumper, you are advised to consider carefully the room and the area of the room you want to physically place it before you go ahead and buy it.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The seat cover is fabric, removeable and is machine washable .. so just machine washing the fabric seat in cold water will keep it clean. Remember to use only a gentle wash cycle with no bleach. You can tumble dry, using low heat.
Some of the add-on toy items have Velcro straps, and usefully these are removable for washing too.
The plastic parts on the other hand can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry afterwards. The toys should on no occasion be immersed in water.
Storage
The Minnie Mouse Jumper does not fold or close for storage, however it can be easily dismantled to be stored away for future use, unlike some of the other jumpers on the market.
To store the jumper away, you will need to partly dismantle the jumper by unclipping and removing the 4 long arms of the jumper from the base.
If your intention is to store the jumper away for a long period, you would need a Philips screwdriver to remove the batteries from the electronic unit, which is not advisable to be left in the compartment.

It is possible sometimes to get the Bright Starts Minnie Mouse Jumper on sale for a little less. Another option to consider is to pick up a second hand one that has been well looked after.
